Voice teacher · Glen Allen, VA
Ashley is a performer, songwriter, and worship leader who teaches singers across the Richmond area how their voices actually work, and to use that knowledge on stage, in auditions, on Sunday morning, or in the shower - whatever your goals are.

Years of stages, songs, and Sunday mornings shaped how I teach.
Age 5
I started performing at age 5 and never stopped! Musical theater was always a huge part of my life, performing on many school and community theater stages. (And yes, I was your stereotypical annoying theater kid)
Age 12
Songwriting - originally as an outlet for teenage angst - became my way of understanding lyrics and melodies on a deeper scale. Now, I write contemporary Christian music all for the glory of God!
Age 14
Leading a room in song taught me both vocal stamina and presence - learning to let my vocal training become second nature so that I could focus on leading through the prompting of the Holy Spirit and not be focusing on technique.
College
I studied musical theater at CNU, which not only strengthened my technique and experience but also taught me to dive deeper into lyric study - which I carry over into worship leading, doing scripture study on each song to be able to lead from a place of genuine understanding of the words verses just performing a song.
Teaching approach
Ashley's lessons start with understanding: how breath, resonance, and registers work in your own voice. From there, technique gets applied straight to the songs you're singing — an audition cut, a pop cover, a worship set, or something you wrote yourself.
